stuck in a rut with cooling issues help me out please!
So about a month ago my radiator **** the bed, i replaced it, and the thermostat. Today my temp gauge is higher than normal, about 3/4 way up, then it will shoot down to like 1/3 and kept doing that. drove it for awhile then later on just now it was almost hitting all the way up and was running real hot. I don;t care so much about engine damage cause im doing a swap in about 3 weeks but i need it to last till then. ANyway what could be the problem? the fan is working fine, no leaks, i looked in the overflow tank and the antifreeze is really dirty, has a lot of black specs in it. I was running just straight antifreeze not a 50/50 mix could that have something to do with it now that its finally warmer out? im just so confused since i replaced everything and now a month later im having problems. please help me out if anyone can becuase i need this car to be running by 5 pm tomorrow for work. THANKS!

the straight coolant isn't good however i dought if it hurt something. It sounds like you might have an air bubble stuck in the cooling system i would drain all of the coolant since you said it looked dark and refill it with a fresh 50/50 mix and make sure you get all of the air out.
