Default Stuck Oil Plug!

I have a stuck oil plug on a 1999 Honda Civic EX. I have tried everything in my power to get it out, including soaking in silicon spray all the tools I have avaliable to me? Any ideas please... need to help must change oil!

I'm not calling you dumb or anything like that but remember left=loose right=tight. Sometimes I get confused while under the car.

lol its hard to remember that **** when your upside down and comming at it backwards
but if it truly is stuck. soak it in some wd40 overnight. if that dosent do it. a shotgun technique would be to drill out the pan plug

I wouldn't drill out the pan plug unless you enjoy getting oil all over your drill and your garage floor. If it really is stuck in there then you'll have to pull the oil pan.

yea yea I know lefty loosy righty tighty... I called the people who changed the oil before they put the plug in with an impact wrench... I did finally get it off though... vise grips so tight they completely damaged the bolt and a whole lot of pushing the vice grips with my feet. It worked but I had to buy a new plug. Cost of new plug = $2.15 after tax.

You were lucky to get that out of there! Now what the he!! did they use an impact wrench on a bolt that only needs <30lbs of torque for???

They were lazy. plain and simple. Watch out for that at tire shops too. They impact everything. America's Tire is pretty good though, they have "torque rods" on their impact gun.

I like my Comptech parts. Plus I didn't have to pay for em. The headers are nice quality, as is the exhaust, I also like the exhaust shape it isn't noticible and it sounds hella sweet!

motherfreakers who owned my car before tightened everything down so much i could barely get it off. my fuel filter was in there with what felt like a torque gun, and my oil plug was tight too. also the oil filter was tightened so much we had to beat it off with a screw driver.

huh, who went to jiffy lube? I sure as hell didn't, this is the first time I have changed the oil since I got the car. I had to call the previous owner, then the people who did to ask what the **** they did to it. I always change my own oil and do my own lubes, the only reason why I said from now on was because sometimes I don't always have time, but after that I will make time to do my own oil changes!
