Default Stuck Bold, new idea... JB WELD... good plan?

Ok, a few weeks ago I was going to install MSD ignition but just as soon as I took off the dizzy cap the ONE screw that connects the dizzy rotor to the... dizzy rod [??] stripped on my first try. Stripped way beyond any other mean to remove it by other methods other than drilling. now im in NO MOOD to re-tread such a tight spot and this is one screw that stands in the way of me starting this project.

Then I had an idea. What if I were to apply JB weld to a screw driver and attach it to the screw... let it set and then remove the screw in this fashion, which would force me to scrap that screw driver and screw, but also keep the threads intact? Would JB Weld hold up? All i'd have to do [hopefully] is goto the harware store and find a similar screw to replace it with.

CLIFFS: JB Weld screw drive to stripped screw, wait for cure and attempt to remove in that fashion. Too right of a space for conventional methods of removal.

worth a try... make sure the jb weld doesn't touch anything else BUT the screw and screwdriver or you might get the screwdriver stuck in there as well

make sure you use some duct tape. That **** will hold anything JB WELD can and...and...It comes OFF Like it ain't no thang.

JB WELD is a mega no no in fixing anything that has moving parts. Just a forworn.

yeah good idea, i'll surround every thing around the screw w/ duct tape so the JB weld only comes on contact w/ the screw.

Just bust off the plastic part of the rotor and loosen the screw with some vicegrips.

any other input on this...

I have a feeling that if I remove the place part to get vice grips i'll end up destroying the screw... if its even possible to get the vice grips on there
