Default Stuck #2 Plug - D16z6 (searched)

Just like the topic says, i have a stuck spark plug(#2). The mechanic last time informed me of it and i didnt want to pay for them to take the head off and machine it out if they were to attempt to extract it and have it snap. Lately i have been noticing some start up and driving problems. Sometimes in the morning it will sputter and sound like a weed whacker does when its first starting. While driving sometimes if i ever reach around 5k it will start to miss in higher gears. So i guess my question is, do you think this is due to the plug? And if it is, has anyone ever had this same problem, and how did you go about getting it out? I dont want to apply too much torque trying to get it out and end up snapping it off and ******* myself even more. Any input is appreciated in advance. Sorry for the life story.

You could try warming up the engine and try taking it out while its warm. Another way is you could probably spray some PB blaster down and see if it could break through.

I will have to try both of those. Will PB blaster (autozone has this?) hurt my car in any way if it gets past the plug and into the engine? I guess another alternative is to just do an LS swap like i have wanted to do. Thanks Luserkid

Sure doing it while its warm is a likely idea. But also be careful not to strip the plug or any threads as its hot.

Yes autozone will have PB blaster.
will it hurt your motor? idk. i cant think of any reasons it might.

Thats my main concern, because if i get it out but strip it or if i snap it off its going to cost me the same amount to rip off the head and get it machined. For the 800 dollars they want I could try and find me a used D16 or B18B.
