Default STRUT BAR BOLT SIZE

hey, kinda of a newbie here. juss please dont flame. Anyway, i got a OEM SI STRUT BAR for my 95 civic ex coupe. I want to know how to install this. What size nuts or bolts and what type do i get? also, any suggestions as to how to get this perfectly installed? thanx

i think you need a 10 or 12. Just take off the two bolts on each side of the strut tower and fit on the bar then put the bolts back on. It will take 5min.

He said OEM SI strut bar which probably means the 99-00 coupes. The strut bar doesn't actually go over th strut bolts. It could be the same size bolts but iono ...

if it's the type r strut bar you need to drill holes right next to the strut tower. Place the bar in the engine so it's feet sit right on the frame. mark then drill holes. Then you need to bolt it on.
As a side note I bought one of those bars and I decided to return it. I prefered the ease and look of the ones that bolt directly to the struts.

95 EX coupe should already have the holes drilled in for this bar. TypeR and Si and GSR bar all bolt into the same place. Sorry I don't know what size bolts they are I purchased my bar and came with the bolts. My 93 coupe had the holes, I just had to pull a little plastic plug out.

well i do have the nuts and bolts already on there. but the OEM SI one will not fit in that place because its longer.

If its still relevant the stock Si front bar bolt size is 12mm

oh thanx, so that means i shoudl juss go pick up some 12mm bots? what bout screws? i'm so stupid when it comes to hardwrae and installatino stuff
