Default stripped lugs .....maybe

i changed my tire about 2 weeks ago! and ever since i have been hearin this noise , so i just think, i didnt tighen the wheel real good! soi go to sears to have some use the air gun on the pass side and they guy said it feels like all the lugs are stripped? how do i find out 4 sure? bc i need new brakes this month

well, if the guys at sears say it feels like its stripped (considering they are educated in cars and experienced) then its probably stripped. have you tried tightening them yourself? its never happened to me but it sounds like something that could be easily figured out (i may be wrong)

this isnt rocket science... if the lugs arent going on tight or not staying tight then obviously you need to go get some new lug studs and put them in.

yes, if you try to take them off, and they dont want to come off, then it is stripped, you can force it and it will break off. with part of the stud.

Also, I always have them torque my lugs on, so they use the air gun, then a torque wrench to tighten. also if your running rims, they usually suggest torqueing them down after fifty miles.

just try to take them off, and if they break then you need new ones. just make sure you leave 3 intact or go to a tire shop and tell them to balance your tires and when they take them off they will find if it is stripped or not
