My hatchback is gutted w/ one 6th gen drivers seat
carpet, panels, armrest, radio, speakers are all removed

my in my coupe I just removed rear seats, passenger seat, and everything in the rear except the spare and jack...I'm also using a CF hood for weight reduction. I put a GSR driver's seat in place of the stock seat.

no pictures though

i've removed my entire interior once or twice while installing stereo equipment. i have pictures on my computer at home, will post tonight.

if you are gonna do weight reduction...do it right. i give props to the guys that do roadcourses with welded 6 point cages, but these people who pull their interior out, but keep the a/c and power steering ?!?!?

Yeah I feel the same way. Weight reduction is not something to do half-assed...

Yeah dry ice is a good way of removing it. I did mine in the middle of winter, so i did'nt need it...

Are you planning on painting it after? There is no paint under the tar so i had to repaint my floors...

How did you take out the gooey glue thing that lines the trunk ?
Hmmm, I did'nt have anything like that in the trunk. It only had a little bit of sounddeading right above where the spare would be. Just pulled it right up.

I used duplicolor too...

i agrue the fact that stripping dont give u different time slip/not notice any difference...****, with all that tar/plastic/carpet/sound deadoning/spare/back seat...u'll take off good 70~if not 100lbs...**** u wouldnt wanna run a 1/4 with a passenger in ur car do ya?

My time is a testament to the fact of weight reduction. I had a stripped interior did the time on the 13 steelies with 185 W tires and a CF hood. Spoonman was there and I have a slip to prove it. I was planning high 15's low 16's and check that time out in a d16z6. With that I can beat even a lot of si's who'd a thought!
