stripped coolant bleeder bolt...what are my options?
my friend striped the coolant bleeder bolt that goes into the thermostat housing when he was tightening the bolt during coolant change....
what are his options?
what is the thread pitch of the hole?

What year and engine?
The bleeder bolt is located on the water outlet cover, not the thermostat housing. The easiest fix may be to just replace the water outlet cover.

Probably should replace the water outlet. Don't want to mess with your cooling system.
You could remove it and rethread for a larger bolt to plug the hole, but by then you've spent money on drills and taps and removed the thing, might as well buy a replacement part...

its the bleeder bolt that is up near the top coolant hose isnt this the thermostat housing
