Default Stress on Aluminum?

With the omni power full coilovers, the instructions say to tighten down the 17mm bolts and nuts to 40 lb/ft but i tightented the bolt that connects the shock fork to the LCA in the front of the car to 47-49 lb/ft like it says in the helms. Will anything bad happen if i didnt follow those specs? I figured the torque figures were lower than normal cause of the aluminum parts but there are no aluminum parts down there. Theres only the OEM shock fork and LCA. Would tightening it to OEM specs, 47 lb/ft, cause some kind of stress toward the top of the shock fork that holds the aluminum strut body?
