Ok, so I'm having an idle problem with my H22. I'll lay it out as simply as I can.

-normal idle is at 1100 rpm
-Sometimes, the idle dips down to like 200-300 rpm, like it is just about to die, and then it comes back up to 1000-1100 rpm.

-I've noticed that it only happens when the engine is at operating temperature, or close to it; never happens when it is cold.

Like I already said, the problem isn't there all the time. There will be days when it doesn't show up at all, but there also days (usually when it's warmer outside) when it does it all the time.

I checked the spark plugs, and replaced the cap & rotor because they had some rust on them.

What do you think it might be?

Ok so I thought about it a little more, and there is another symptom:

Let's say I'm driving along in 5th gear at 4k rpm. When I push in the clutch to begin coasting to a stop, the rpms drop very fast, down to about 300 rpm (like I described above), and then back up to 1000-1100 rpm.

Seems like there isn't enough fuel to support the idle? I don't know.

It's getting annoying, and I hate the idea of driving around knowing something isn't right.

one of two things

1) distributor -happen to me once I fixed it problem solved

2) vacuum leak or something is plugged that shouldnt be - once I put a vacuum hose at the wrong place and the idle jumps up and down when it about to die

1) Which part of the distributor? I already replaced the cap & rotor.
