strange box labeled P28 underhood.
So I've been curious about this strange little box under my hood since I got my car. My friend the has done 3 different Honda builds finally came over to see the car and has never seen anything like this either. Here is a pic.
Like the title says its labeled P28 which makes me think it has something to do with my P28 ECU but it doesn't seem to be wired to anything near the ECU. Does anyone have any thoughts in what this is?

It is your cruise control. If you follow that cable that comes out of it through the firewall it connects to the gas pedal linkage inside the cabin under the dash.

I want to remove it now since my cruise doesnt Work anyway but the wiring seems to be tied in with the diver side headlight. If I just disconnect the box will it effect the lights???

Why not fix the cruise control problem instead? Then you'll have cruise. You may be thinking "well, I don't WANT cruise" but I just tend to disagree on principle to removing stuff that's broken but still potentially useful, rather than diagnosing and fixing it. You've got an army full of people out here on the forums ready to help if you run in to trouble - provided you've done a bit of research and legwork on your end beforehand, of course.

That is true. Although I don't really feel a need for the cruise control it'd be nice to have it working. I'm surprised I'm not getting a CEL code for it though.
