Straightpipe or High flow cat????
hey guys, i posted a new thread earlier about my CEL light being on after I took off my catalytic converter and put on a straight pipe. I bought this so called straight pipe for only 15 bucks brand new and it fits my 98 ex fine. It has to holes in it (one with a bolt plugging it, the other to allow for the O2 censor) My question is : if it allows for the O2 censor, wouldn't it be considered a high flow cat.? I am confused, please help. I'm having no other problems with my car except the damn CEL light. If the CEL light is on, I will reset the ecu and it will stay off UNLESS i drive the car above 60 or so for a while, then drive slower speeds like 30 or 40? Is there a way to trick the computer the keep the CEL light off.
thanks

there are o2 eliminators which make the ecu think the o2 is hooked up and sending normal. import parts sells them. having a straight pipe is not like having a high flow converter, the reason u got a cel is cuz the straight pipe doesn't heat up like a cat high flow or not.

is your second o2 sensor even hooked up? there are **** loads of people around here with no cats or gutted cats and they never have cel's. some thing else must be wrong!
