straight through vs. baffled muffler?
It's time to get some exhaust for my car and i have decided that i want a 'Quiet as possible' set up but with out selling my b20vtec short. So its baically between a es oval or a flowmaster. Was just wondering what the down side of having a baffled muffler like the flowmaster would be? it seems like a more logical choice for silence but i dont want to sacrifice throttle response.
Setup-- 2.5 w/ 22" resonator
Input?

I suggest you remove that pic before your thread gets locked.
If I were you, get an ES Oval. You'd probably get the same results from both, but since you're running a 4-banger, a straight through would be better. Especially on a B20.

Don't go with Flowmaster. I had one on my civic and the entire insides of the muffler rusted away in a year. Totally garbage stuff. I've got a Magnaflow Stainless Steel catback now and I love it. Though it IS a little louder, but not by much.

its really up to you. Straight through will give you better flow, however, they tend to be much louder. I was sick of the loud sound on the highway, so I switch to just a integra muffler. Sucks for flow, but its so much quieter.
