Default Storing the car for 4 months in Canada

I'm storing the car tonight for the next 4 months. I don't care about the engine, it will be replaced in the spring.

A friend told me that I should fill the tank. It has maybe 10% gas in it right now. I bought some fuel stabilizer so the fuel won't go bad.

Should I or not fill the tank?

Thanks,

Alex.

For honest to goodness long storage, the fuel tank should be drained completely and left open to air.

Fuel lines drained.

Fuel filter drained.

Fuel rail drained.

Fuel injectors drained.

People used to do this by running the vehicles dry. This can be potentially harmful to some parts of the emission system, and is no longer viewed as good procedure. The above is recommended.

(pssst. It's four months. If you fill the tank and have fuel stabilizer in there, it'll probably be ok, but the real long recommendation is the above. I mean, what if it becomes twelve months?)

My civic is also in storage (Vermont winters suck!) But I go out and let it run once a week for like an hour, Is there anything I need to do to protect my car?
