STOLEN: RED '00 SI -HUMBLE, TX
I walked out of my door this morning to head to the gym and realized my car was no longer there. It was still in my driveway at midnight but was gone when my roommate got home at 8am. I live in the Humble area of Houston, Tx. If anyone knows anything of the whereabouts of this car or have seen it that would be great. It's been paid off for forever so I only had liability. Looks like I'm just **** outta luck if I don't find it.

Drive around and look for REALLY old smog/tune up shops. 90% of the time there chop shops. There pretty obvious to find and are usually tucked back in the street so there a little more hidden. Trust me i've found so many cars like this helping friends and usually there will be 20-30 more back there. Get a nice little search party going 3-4 cars and look for them.

Bum deal man. I went to license my new si yesterday and was told that the title I have isn't the most recent title issued. I don't really know where to go from here, but I'm really hoping I don't find out it's stolen.
I hope you find it quickly and in one piece.

Yea it really sucks. I'll be on the look out and I keep thinking about being a neighborhood vigilante. I'll definitely purchase lo-jack on whatever I get next in addition to a Glock

lo-jack won't do squat **** if there not within range(Which most won't be). Like i said get a small search party and get looking from chop shops. There extremely easy to notice. 9/10 there going to be at a OLD smog shop that's out of business with a tall non-see through gate. You will see tons of cars in the back and it's enough evidence for cops to do a search. Really the SECOND you get this car back lock it in the garage until you get a full alarm system. Every build thread i tell people this and they don't listen, they buy rims and seats and a paint job first.

One of the nice things about on-star...
If my car moves, i get a phone call, text and email.
I call on-star and it tells me where its at, and they shut the car down!
It never makes it to a chop shop.
However it gets locked up just like my EG

Can you run on-star with a full-stealth alarm system?(Serious question, not trying to say it won't lmao actual serious question). Or is it something that should replace a lets say Clifford GPS.

Hey i live in a small *** city(From one end to the other on the freeway it's probable 25 mins maybe? 15 without traffic. Modesto was literally #1 in the world for most car thefts, 90% Hondas. I'ma terrified to even have my Honda locked up in the garage with a FULL ALARM system lmao. There is some nice neighborhoods though that thieves NEVER go in because there's always 2-3 cops that chill on the borders and that's where i'm moving in a few months.

Looks like your a straight shot to the border. Maybe call the customs/port and see if they have a record of the vehicle crossing. I know ports have plate readers so maybe they might have something? Just a thought.

Did you contact customs? I wouldnt be surprised if it got taken in parts cross the border. Very easy to dismantle in first place and even easier to take down south or craigslist the parts or hell just drive the damn thing and make paperwork for it and a vin swap

as much as i hate to say this-- you will be lucky to recover the shell. security is essential on these cars, kill switches cost a couple bucks. pulling fuses costs nothing. i dont understand how so many of us put tons of time and money into our cars, and completely neglect a $200 security system. blows my mind. OP- ive had a car stolen, and it sucks. Best of luck with the recovery, but its a longshot. Start browsing Cl/forums/ebay for your parts. Dont forget to search for the entire car, retagging is all the rage with thieves now.
