Default Stock suspension problems

i just put on some used 15 inch rims with 205 50 rubbers, on stock suspension.
because of the tire wear, i have shitty control, which is understandable...but now, when i go over speedbumps (slow), there is no rubbing, but i hear a "sqeeeek" noise, sounds like its from the front driverside of the car. Also, when i break really hard, i hear a loud "clunk" sound...
WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON? i'm swapping the suspension in a week or two, when i can afford some tokico shocks on my coilovers, that i have yet to instal? thanks in advance.

ok, i'll throw this out there for ya. tom, step in here if i'm off. the squeaking and clunking are probably attributed to the same thing. you said that you just put new rims on there? did you make sure the stock springs re-seated themselvs properly when you lowered it back down? it could be that the front driver side spring didn't properly seat itself when you dropped it down. i was helping a friend with his '90 accord, bleeding brake lines and stuff and we almost did that very thing. there's my .02 good luck!

now that i think about it, i made sure that every spring reseated itself properlly, but the last wheel to be put on was the driver side front...
maybe i didn't check it out properlly...
thanks a lot...any other answers?

if it's not the spring, it definitely sounds like something suspension oriented. i'd just advise you to take it easier than normal for a couple weeks until you get that new suspension on the car.
