yes it will work.. it will eliminate the knock sensor and a few other sensors...but ur vtec will come on at 4500 and rev out at 7200rpm.. ur not gonna feel the full potential of the motor unless u chipped that ecu

it will work but i wouldnt run your motor for a long time with the stock settings. chip it, or get a GSR P72 ECU.

Either get the P28 chipped and tuned, or get a P72. The P28 can run it, and I know people who have done it, but it's not proper.

Either chip the P28 or find a P72.

Though, there's no point in chipping the ECU and running it on a GSR basemap if there's no mod done to it.

If you plan to run the stock P28 ECU on the GSR for a long time, say byebye sooner or later.

the gsris modded has headers cams cam gears straight piping intake. what im trying to get at is would the p72 run better than a chipped p28? the p28 would basically just have a gsr basemap with no rev limit, vtec changeover point changed and 2 step.

I've never been a big fan of chipped ECUs. With your setup, you really need to get an ECU that can be tuned on a dyno. A P72 with tuned on a Hondata would definitely run better than a chipped P28 with a generic basemap. If you take the car to get it tuned, you could tune it with a chipped P28, but it's a bit more cumbersome (burning chips takes more time than flashing a Hondata).
