Default Stock Muffler on Custom Piping?

Would it cause any problems putting stock muffler on custom piping. The reason for it is to keep the quiet sound and stock look of the Muffler.

Other than the inlet diameter, no probably not.
Though I doubt the stock muffler will last long with that much flow.

no alot of people do that, to stay under the radar.. but you might want to look into gettin a better flowing stock exhaust, like from an si or a teg or something

or even look into other cars stock mufflers... i know people say that the newer cougars exhaust sounds like a rs*r, and it doesn't look half bad under an eg. it's also 2 1/2" pipe

Buddy of mine put an ITR axleback on his hatch (obviously w/mods).
It sounds great and looks even better. He found his on ebay.

Another buddy of mine put a WRX muffler on his hatch (obviously w/mods).
The dual-tip muffler looks really sexy. He found his on ebay as-well.

I'd also check local junkyards first ^^.
