You aren't gonna "murder" anything but a pinto with a single cam 1.5 liter. Don't waste your money turbo'ing something like that. Get at least a single cam vtec and then turbo.

the d15b is a 1.5 jdm vtec...
OP
boost it to 200 whp or 230 whp if you decide to do a new HG and head studs
this is safe for DD if you have a good tune
anything more than that and i would recommend a z6 or y8
and that is just for all the aftermarket that's available for them
i have a d15b on a motor stand in my garage...
I'm going to throw it in my car when it's time for me to pull my d16a for a rebuild

Some are, its definately the one most people think of, but there were several JDM D15Bs:
-OBD1 D15B Vtec (SOHC Vtec)
-OBD1 D15B Vtec (SOHC Vtec-e)
-OBD2 D15B 3 Stage Vtec
-D15B Dual Carbed non vtec
On all of them the block is merely stamped D15B

It's been said 1000 times by now, but i'll say it again. You can make 220-240whp on your stock D reliably IF you use good parts and get a reliable tune. The weak point in the engine are the rods. You can fix this by building a Vitara/Tuner Toys setup for less than $1000 after everything. That will support ~450whp.

well that should be for what need or want, I personally would just stick with 8 pounds like what z6 said, its way more than enough, but you can always build your motor like 666 said and up the ant'e a bit for those track days, but if you aren't ready for that then i would just get a greddy kit and call it a day, it comes nearly everything you need and the tune comes in a blue box.

You should chip your ecu. I'm sending mine into phearable.net. Everyone I talked to said its a very good way to go and only costs $75. and you could also get a boost controller tricking the internal wastegate into giving more boost.

If you're seriously looking to turbo your D series, go to the Forced Induction forum. This forum is notorious for bad advice and misinformation. To avoid all that good stuff, just ask your questions in FI.
Also, when you post in FI, dont come in talking about how you want to "murder d-bags on da street...ya meen?" because people will not help someone who doesn't sound intelligent enough to open a pickle jar...
