dont know much about bseries personally..
but I do know that 9.3k is quite close to 10k rpm

anything close to 10k rpm is too high for anything thats not an s2000 or a motorcycle imo

But thats just my feelin on the subject

I believe Internally GSR motors can rev up to 8.5 safely, but why would you need to go that high? Are you even making power all the way up there? Or are you just rocking a chipped ECU thinking that by revving that high your still making power?

You have no choice but to blow up a gsr engine...Example: rod through block is a good choice. Or drop a valve into the cylinder is another option of destroying an engine. lol...j/k

Seriously If your car is pretty much stock internally then no more than 8400-8600 rpms. Even 8600 rpms is a little high. But if you don't make power past 8200 rpms then you shouldn't be revving past 8200 rpms. What mods are done to your engine?

why on earth are you basing what rpm to shift at with a computer? if you want your engine to last then you should shift at 8k... If you have UBER amounts of the Greenbacks then do as you please...Catastrophic failure is imminent...Best to purchase a revv limitter from MSD.

I have a stock bottom end GSR w/Skunk2 Stage 2's w/Portflow valvetrain, and I stop making power around 8.5k, so I wouldn't rev anywhere over 8.5k.

Their is really no point to go that high unless you want **** to blow, its stock, your not making power that high, get shift light if you cant afford an msd rev limiter, and set it up for 8200 rpms max.. ok !!

Exactly..you could however rev to 9k pretty easily with new springs, retainers, and valves, but ur STILL not makin power up there unless u build that bottom end or some kind of FI.

That was the stupidest thing I've ever heard, You do have a choice Its called looking at the tach and shifting a 7500-8000 rpms. besides theres no power beyond that on stock **** anyway, have you ever been to, or seen a dyno run that **** just drops after 8000. Don't go higher then that.

Damn, What are the specs on your head!!! B/C thats pretty high for a b20 bottom end with terrible r/s ratio.

HAHA, im not even going to grace you with words on knowledge on that comment, b/c you obviously don't have any on this subject to start with. And everyone else seems to have beaten me to it (the flaming that is).

But hey its your engine, do what you want!!!

how can people be so ignorant, makes you wanna smack some sense into them.

by that i mean CrX-To-Tha-Max-v2.0. that chip removes the rev limiter honda sets there for safety precautions. it's effectiveness is only with a built motor, where the motor actually makes more power beyond that limit, but in your case your just asking to blow up your motor.
