stock honda black paint
im taking my coupe to the body shop to get painted black and i am thinking of going with a stock honda color. i dont know much about the difference in the black honda paint except that many of them have a red or blue tint/glitter added that shows up in the sun. what is the difference betwenn the stock 94 civic black paint and the ITR or GSR or any other honda black paint. also suggestions on which black paint i should choose are welcomed. painting my car another color is out of the question.

I had a 1992 Si hatch and the stock black is Granada Black Pearl. I'm pretty sure that the 1992-1995 Civics were Granada Black pearl as well.
I had it repainted to Flamenco Black pearl and it looked WAY better. The stock Grnada black has way too much black cherry-type pearl in it. The Flamenco black Pearl can be found on the 99-00 Civic Si coupe, the 2000 ITR, the 1994-2000 Integra GS-R (pretty sure on that) and some of the 1996-up Civics.
It has some blueish pearl as well as hints of silver and even some green, but the color is absolutely beautiful.

Granada Black Pearl is still a nice color.
i was recently in an accident and the front half of my car had to be painted. it looks really nice compared to the 10 y/o paint that covers the rest of the car.
since the accident, i've been getting a lot of complements on my paint. i keep getting asked if that's the stock color.
then there's that new civic Si color... Nighthawk Black Pearl. my friends dad just got a '02 Si in that color. it looks just like FBP to me, but i didn't have FBP car there to compare it to.

I also HEARD that Integra Type R FBP has more noticable gold flakes inside of it, is this true?
