ok for the sake of my ears i need to buy a stock exhaust system. i have a buddy club spec3 that is not suitable for daily driving. yes, it came with a silencer but it just buzzes super loud with it so its worthless. i cant use the DX pea-shooter cuz they blow up like what happened here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=412058
anyway i was thinkin about getting a ITR exhaust or a 99-00 Si exhaust, but what modifications would i have to make to get it to fit correctly? I might buy an ITR exhaust from a h-t member who tells me i have to take the tip off the muffler otherwise it will stick out. can anyone help me out? thanks

Honestly, Id just get some custom piping with a 24 inch resonator and a good muffler. Works better than stock, and will also be quiet! Im pretty sure that the SI exhaust would work much better than the ITR, but your going to have to modify eiteher. Best of luck!

I'd go with custom, or apexi world sport. That is the quitest exhaust I've heard yet.

i just put on an itr b-pipe onto my ek. i SWEAR the damn thing would've bolted straight up (cat-side), but i'll never know since i have a 2.5" cat welded on instead. the length was about perfect, if you use the right honda cat, but not sure which one that would've been.

i put that on with a spoon street axleback. AWESOME&gt; it is the best sounding exhaust i've ever heard on a street car. ULTRA quiet and smooth. interior noise levels are almost unnoticeable, but the car doesn't have that spec 3 growl anymore ....

the best part is, though it hasn't been confirmed on the dyno, i don't feel much of a loss of top-end power. coming from another recent owner of the spec3, i'd say the spec3 obviously makes a little more top-end, but it's not worth the midrange you gain back with the itr setup.....and the exhaust isn't noticeable to cops.

i wouldn't go through the hassle of getting the itr axleback to fit....just use the 99-00 si muffler. remember, it was designed for a DOHC engine, so you shouldn't blow out the baffles like on other civic exhausts. which sounds worse than the BC spec3.

just get the spoon muffler.

is the spoon muffler actually quiet? i heard it was loud as hell. im gonna keep the spec3 for race days and stuff like that - i just want a higher flowing stock exhaust thats not gonna cork my car up and still be quiet. on second thought i might sell the spec3 if i can find a sweet set-up like the ITR pipe with the spoon muff.....

hmmmmm JUNtype3 turbo errr no guy thats not gonna work. maybe turbonium will occur sometime when i feel like buying stock cams and a t3rbo. btw we should have a 4 way race.

how much is the apexi? i dont want to spend a shitload of $. i found an ITR exhaust for 150 - i dunno man maybe i should sell the buddy club....anyone interested? its pretty much new and i already had it shortened to work on an EK with the usdm cat. cost me $550
