Froze? could you explain that statement.
First of all what is your goals with your civic? I myself am a VDubber and Honda man. Both fun and great cars, but anyway. Yes a 1.6l b-series will bolt up, just need axles, shift linkage and a few more things also depends if it's vtec or nonvtec . D-series will both right up, but are you going vtec or non-vtec. And vtec you'll need to wire up vtec(d/b-series vtec).

well the story from the guy who i bought the car from, i got it for $100 so i couldn't pass it up, said he was driving it when it all of a sudden lost power and stopped. that is all he told me and i don't know where he is now to get more detailed info. i am gonna try to turn the crank over since it will not turn over by merely turning the key to start. i checked the easy stuff but that is as far as i have gotten so far.....so if i put a 1.6l in it do i have to change tranny or just the stuff you mentioned in the previous box....? will the 1.6l plug in correctly with factory harness?

if its a 95 the most cost effecive motor to get you going with some pep will be the d16z6 thats the motor from the ex and si I believe. You can find a used one for less than $500. but check to see what your problem is now. sounds fixable if it was just running and died. checked spark maybe your battery died. maybe your fuel pump went out(has happened to me).2 firsts I would check. maybe that would save your cash for a new motor and go to parts instead.

just start reading through archived threads and FAQs untill you see something that interests you. then ask about that. be carefull about asking people what you should do, you'll never get clear answer.
