Stock Ecu with B18C motor
im currently in the process of dropping in a 99 JDM B18C into my 99 Civic Si.. problem is, i have not yet found a ECU.. i know im able to run my stock ECU, but will there be any problems>? will i end up with a check engine light>? what are the main consequences>?

i don't know how it will run, it really isn't a good idea to swap a motor without the right ecu first. since it's from a b16, it'll probably run the motor, but it won't run right.

It'll run, but won't run like you'd want it to and especially with a Type R motor... lol You can either get a OBD1 conversion and run a P28, P72, etc. Or you can stay with OBD2 and use a P72 or P73, either way, have it tuned! HONDATA! or at least VAFC...

yeah i did a 00gsr swap into a 99 ex coupe and used the ex ecu to start the car up b/c of the immobilzer on the gsr ecu, it will run it put it want be to its full potential.
