stock(d15), b16 or b18
i have been saving for a while to get a motor swap and i have 4k for it, my decition, isnt as much based on which would be faster, aslong as its faster then my d15. but i want to do the install myself, this would be a first for me, i am some what scared. so i want to know which is a easier swap over all. i am alittle overwhelmed i think mostly because i dont quiet understand all that has to be done, so it would help if someone could fill me in there. is it a 2 person job?
im sorry if there are similar threads, i searched and didnt find..so i prolly didnt search the right thing.
thanks alot.

Sounds to me like you need some help. If you have a buddy that knows what they are doing, ask them to give you a hand. Hell, maybe you should just keep saving and factor in a professional to do the job for you.

What year/make/model car do you have? I would go with a B18C(JDM GSR) over a B16. It isn't that hard to swap a car except for the wiring. If you have a camera take pictures and ask questions and you will get a lot of help from this site. You should really try to find someone near you that has done it so they can help you though. You should have enough money to buy that swap and the beer for their help.

complete change over. the swap isn't hard, but since this is your first time then find someone you trust who has done this before. when i say trust meaning that they know what they are doing and that later they won't come back to steal your ****. back to the swap, there are tons of write up about this, from wiring to mounts and everything in between.

oh, and if you have 4k for a motor why not go with an itr, get the most for you money.

Go with the B18, and make sure u have all the parts u need to do the swap (make a post w/ a checklist after u buy the engine so u can check it off to make sure u have everything)
As for it being ur first time, it should NOT be a problem, of course a second person helping you WILL help, you should be able to get it done in a day if it's your first time, just take it easy, don't skip on important steps, but most importantly, make sure u have all the stuff b4 u do the swap, that'll be the real kicker that can expletive things up
