stock cx idle?
What RPM should my stock 97 CX hatch beater idle at? Some times it seems to idle below 500 rpm. I know that I need new O2 sensors. Do you guys/girls think that could be the cause of a low idle? Is there a way to adjust the idle RPM?
Oh, one more question. I put in an EX cluster, so I now have a Tach. (yeah)
I think the redline on the EX is around 7k RPM, or whatever the cluster says. can't remember off the top of my head. Is that the same redline that my CX motor has, or does the CX have a different redline.

If either of the O2 sensors are dead then yes, this can mess with your idle as well as other things. Yes, you can adjust the idle, but why not just correct the problem instead of putting a band aid on it?
The EX gauge cluster shows a redline of 7,200rpms which is actually only 100 rpms above what a 96+ CX engine redlines at. Why you would want to take a CX up that high is beyond me.

Re: stock cx idle? (Hybrid93Eg)
yeah, i plan on getting new o2 sensors, just that i didn't have a chance to order them yet. And I don't think i ever gone past 5k rpm on the cx. i was just wondering where the redline really is suposed to be, since the car didn't come with a tach. thank for the help. this is for you
