Stock clutch limits.
Well previous buddy of mine put a really shitty clutch in his set up, which i now own. And yeah the clutch slips like crazy and the pressure plate feels like poop even after many bleeds. So unfortunately im gonna be looking for another clutch now.
Ive heard numerous oppinions of the oem honda d16y8 clutch, and i was just seeing if anyone had some numbers and such to back up the limits of the factory oem clutch. Their pretty much half the price of a exedy or other aftermarket clutch kits so im considering just tossing a oem in. My buddy swore by the oem on his sohc turbo setup that put down 230whp, now im just curious if it was a freak set up, or our other people having luck on mildly boosted sohc's with oem clutches.

Re: Stock clutch limits. (lsjon)
although i have no proof beyond common sense. the stock would probably hold fine at elevated horsepower for some period of time its life will be much shorter than it should be, and if you already are taking the tranny out you might a well upgrade to be certain. then you dont have to replace it twice.
