I have a factory cd player out of a 00 civic. Battery went dead and when you turn on the car the radio is locked because battery went dead. It's asking for a code to unlock it. The car must have had this set when I bought it because I never set it. Anyone have any idea's on resetting this feature?

i meant... obtaining the code is not a secret... but that's not exactly what I said is it...

BTW it says CODE ErrE or something like that when you try to turn on the radio...some kinda anti-theft bs...no idea how to turn it off

find the nearest dealership and give them the serial number so you can get the code

The code is wherever the person who inspected the car put it. Also, if it says code error, and not just code, you need to pull your backup fuse for a minute or so to reset it. Just call the Honda dealership or go up there and they will hook you up.

you can call honda for the code. a paper with the code should have came with the car. thats messed up if the seller didnt give it to you. probably in your glove compartment w/ your owners manual or something.
