stock b16 valves???

Default stock b16 valves???

i have a high compression b20 vtec with arias 12.1 compression, on eagle rods, and arp head studs, with b16 head with a set of crower stg 2 cam shaft, and dual valve springs, i have stock valves and will stock valves be okay on my set up???

you should be fine, but should consider lighter/stonger ones though

they'll fine as long as your clearances have been checked. it's not like you're going to spinning around at 8000+ all day long rite?

did you measure out your valve to valve and piston to valve clearance?

yeah there is clearance, if i plan on going up to 8200 rpm will it still be okay???

yah, should be fine. you should be more worried about the valvesprings if anything but you already have that covered with the crower springs.

edit - your crower valvetrain should be able to handle it, but i'm not saying your bottom end can.

anybody else have an opinion if its okay to run stock b16 valves and valve springs with crower camshaft on a 12.1 compression??

your stock valves will be fine.
i ran civic type r pistons in my b16a in my crx.
the valve to piston clearance was good. its still running strong 2 years later.

^^^ so were u running aftermarket cam shaft too?? wat compression do u think ur at?? must be a good build...

like they said, dont rev it up to high. you'll shove the piston through the wall or brake a rod, the B20's have a big stroke ratio

I wouldn't recommend putting anything into a cylinder that isn't meant to be in there.
Could place the head on the block without the camshafts, without the headgasket headbolts or anything connecting it to the block, and slowly rotate the crank and see if the head raises/moves any.
I had a friend do it this way, kinda ghetto.
