you might need a flaring tool to reflare all the brake lines. unless you can put it back with a visegrip and the lines are not leaking then you be ok. if you using the flaring tool remember that the end of the brake lines are double flare.

damn that sucks...

You have to either unflare the stock lines and slide on new nuts then re-flare them (probobly won't work as they almost always if not always don't "un-flare) too well making them too short to make it to whatever.)

Short of that you need to run ENTIRE new hardlines from the master to the prop... Boy I hope you didn't strip the ones going OUT of the prop to the brakes... cuz that can get UGLY.

Are you sure you used the right size flarenut wrench... Thats one thing I won't trust to craftsman... their tolerances are a little less strict as the better companies so for something as do or die as brake hardline nuts I like to use only expensive tools...

One suggestion I have though is to use some of those rounded wrenches (like facom) which grip on the flat of the nut/bolt instead of the edges...

here's a link if you don't understand what I'm talking about... Nevermind I can't seem to find any right now (I though facom had it on ALL their wrenches but apparently not.)

-O-\
O
-O-/

If that makes any sense... the round "O"'s grip the flat spots on the nut instead of the the corners of the wrench gripping the corners of the nut...

i had the same problem with removing my power steering...i bought a shitty flare head wrench and stripped the nut. I ended up having to use vise grips.
