Still no Spark to Plugs

Still no Spark to Plugs
Hello,
I am new to this forum.
I have a 1992 civic lx and it will not start. I post here because this is where I have seen the most activity with the similar problem.
I have had long time problems with stalling when starting from a dead stop as well as hard starting after long hot runs or merely on hot days.
I have re-soldered and then also replaced the main relay a couple years back.
1 x 7 and 5 x 7 produce prime - power at distributor, but no spark - ground at therm housing cleaned and tightened
Best I could tell from reading is that if 1 x 7 and 5 x 7 prime pump, then fuses 24 and 31 are working
Vehicle is with mechanic who is going to need help
If 1 x 7 and 5 x 7 prime pump, then is relay bad?
What next?

Re: Still no Spark to Plugs
Have AutoZone test the igniter unit.
Resistance test coil as per diagram in FAQs sticky.
Make sure voltage reaches the coil and igniter unit.
Check whether the timing belt has snapped or stripped.

Re: Still no Spark to Plugs
Thanks roc0487,
Mechanic says he checked coil and that he has power at distributor, but no spark when cranking.
Distributor was tested and actually popped in a new one just to make sure, but still no spark when cranking.
The fuel pump does not prime until crossing one and seven or five and seven (turn key to on) at the main relay harness plug.
Is spark to plugs not initiated when the ecu sees no priming by the fuel pump when the key is turned? Asking is it one problem causing both?
Is it the main relay, the ecu or a bad connection?
Since I have power at the main relay harness plug and pump primes when crossing 1 x 5 and 5 x 7 (turn key on), then the fuses 24 and 31 (inspected) are good if I read between the lines correctly in other threads.
