Default still no luck tracking down vacuum leak. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've been trying to track down a suspected vacuum leak and have had no luck. I tried the carb cleaner trick with no noticeable results. I'm running out of patience with this and am open to ideas about what the problem could be. This is on a 2nd gen B16a SIR II in a '95 hatch and the car idles @ 1100 rpms with the idle adjust screw all the way down.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

push that thing that holds the throttle cable onto the throttle body if it drops the idle than there is a screw that thing rests upon, try lowering that with a 8mm and a hex tool...hopefully you know what i'm talking about, because i used to have the same problem and that solved it.

another thing is try checking the fuel pressure...because my brother had the same problem with the idle until he lowered the fuel pressure.

but try the first solution i offered because its easy if you do not have a fuel pressure regulator.

hopefully that helps

like what he said, check your throttle cable. so steady idle at 1100? have you tried resetting the ecu? just throwing out ideas.

It idles steady @ 1100 when you crank it over then after you give it a little gas it will slowly come back down to 2000, then to 1500 and will stay @ 1500. I'm perplexed.

what i meant was push the little circle type thing that holds the throttle cable to the throttle body forward and hold it there, if the idle goes down then try adjusting the screw under it - okay i'll try to make it a little more clearer, push that thing the opposite way you would do to rev the motor with the cable.

this sounds like the same exact problem i had - it would idle fine until i give it some gas then the idle would stay constantly at 1500 rpms

When did this problem start occurring? did U do any work to the motor, or change anything recently like manifold, intake, throttle body, hoses...anything. Or did it just start out of the blue?

either that or the throttle cable. And that has to be the funniest caption ever.
