Still have running problems with the EG6 Civic. Help required !
Hi guys,
I posted a thread up not that long ago saying i got water in a spark plug chamber and it caused poor running, eventually leading to cutting out the engine and the coil pack breaking.
New coil pack in and its a lot better as it will start now. Problems is when i give it load its like someone is retarding the ignition. There is no real power.
Now im onto a 2nd hand didtributor thats know to work and still the same problems.
I fitted the original dist back onto the timing markings i made aswell to make sure it would run ok first turn of the key.
I hooked up a timing light to look for a mark on the bottom pulley but i cant see anything at all. No markings on the pulley !
How is it i time the engine then ?
Thanks in advance !

Put a timing gun onto the bottom pulley and the timing mark will only appear on the bumper side of the pulley. I can swing the dizzy back but the timing mark wont appear on the firewall side of the pulley.

if you can't see anything your timing must be off, same thing that happened to me.
