still getting ecu code 1
I just replaced my O2 sensor with a universal 4 wire bosch, but I am still getting check engine error code 1(it blinks once every 5 seconds). What could be wrong? BTW, i have a b16a2 swap with P72 ecu.

check your wiring. trace the conections and see if you're getting anything.
also have you resetted the ecu, after the installation?

Re: still getting ecu code 1 (eg6ajk)
you had a 5 wire o2 sensor before right?
i had same problem every 1 here said get a new o2 sensor which is not the case
you need to run the orange/blue wire from the firewall side to the white wire on the harness
don't mess this up b/c i did now my car dosen't start

The existing O2 sensor was 4 wire...i just spliced the new one on. Do i need to do anything special to reset the ecu? I thought you just needed to disconnect and reconnect the negative terminal on the battery

well, did you splice the 02 sensor in right? On the bosch universal ones the black wire is the sensor wire, not the ground. I did that initially myself. Might be something to check.

Re: still getting ecu code 1 (stevel)
I spliced the two blacks to two blacks, the white to blue, and green to white, according to the instructions. Is this not right?

sounds right from memory. the bosch universal I got had 2 white wires, a black, and a gray. little different but it looks like you did it right. have you hooked up a voltmeter to it to see if it's working correctly?

I've replaced the 02 sensor with an oem denzo, and it still doesn't work! I've replaced the ecu with a chipped p28 in the mean time so it can't be the ECU. I don't know what to try next.
