sticking/high idle
b16a: Idle is sticking or hanging up around 2-2500 rpm's. I gotta tap the gas good to get it to drop back down to 1.
Started a week ago at the tail end of a 6 hour drive.
what could be causing this?

could be that the throttle cable might be a little too tight. or.. a slight vacum leak. i know on the b16a2's theres a vacum port on the back of the manifold which is infamous for high idle cause.

my car does it too sorta. little underneath 1000rpm. might be able to fix it using a screw driver (cross) to turn the idle screw.

Re: sticking/high idle (Jaesung)
Its not an idle adjustment issue. I'm pretty sure its a sticking valve or something because it seems to reflect the weather.

Remove the throttle body and clean it. Maybe it's sticking. Don't forget to use a new gasket when you put it back on.

Re: sticking/high idle (JRI94)
Throttle body was off and cleaned about 2-3 months ago, so i probably not gonna tear that all apart yet.
I cleaned the pcv vavle and it didnt seem to make much (if any ) difference. I probalby end up replacing that if i get around to it this weekend.
