hatch92civic

When i bought my civic it had a cheap kenwood cd player in it and i had a eclipse cd from another car i had sittin in my garage. The plugs for both stereos were the same type(i guess wires were in a different configuration) So i pull the kenwood out and pluged the eclipse in, turned on the key and after about 10-15 sec the deck started smoking so i turned the key off and unplugged it. I check the radio fuse and it was blown so i replaced it put the kenwood back in and it doesnt work. no other fuses are blown or wires fried. anyone have any ideas on what could be causing the deck to not work? all other electronics work except for clock.
