Default Steering wheel jerking left and right.

Read a thread about this, similar problem, the result was a "blown belt in one of the tires".

When on specific roads or roads that are a little rough, the steering wheel will jerk so much that I actually have to correct my direction and hold on to the wheel or else it will jerk around.

Is it the "blown belt in the tire"? And it still did it after balancing, rotating, and alignment.
TIA fellas.

My Lx did the same thing when I got my 17's.........It was terrible tho......So I did some inspection and found that my tires were uni-directional....I had put my rims on so fast that I didn't even think they'd be uni-directional.....But that made a big difference when I put them on right.......Do you have after market rims and tires? Cuz size and tire profile can make a difference

What shop installed your tires? They didn't notice this?

i think mayb the roads are fucked up, and your car is fine... because theres a road where i live and when you drive straight, let off the wheel.. and hit the brakes, it jerks right realllly bad - but only on certain parts of the road. You said "when on specific roads" so.. i duno it might sound dumb, but i think it may have atleast some part to do with the roads your driving on

Thats the thing I put them on myself...........I was in such a rush 2 have rims I looked past something as impotant as tread pattern.......It made a huge difference....Used to pulll 2 the left......And yea I think civics have weak steering pumps because if you drive the same roads with a larger car it's hardly noticable. So it's probably not your car, because l when I break on some roads it may get a little shifty in the wheel also

If it happens when braking, it is time to get your rotors resurfaced.
Or it could be your tires and/or rim width. I have this problem before, it only fixed when i went down in rim size.

Better grip + uneven, textured roads = pulling. Don't sweat it.
