Steering Wheel Issues..Need Help ASAP!!
93 Si. I bought the shell with a bad motor. So I bought a d15b. Also did a power to manual rack and pinion swap. After all was installed my steering wheel was off to the left, so naturally I went and got an alignment.
Now this was about 2 months ago..now my steering is off again but this time to the right, plus my horn and SRS light came on, the steering wheel does not lock either!!
I bought a new clock spring and want to install it. I was told to get alignment first then install it. Is this true?? Why would my wheel go off again?!?!

Re: Steering Wheel Issues..Need Help ASAP!! (Manolo)
when you replaced the rack did you tighten the bolt that holds the shaft to the rack?
sounds like it slipped a couple of teeth..
if it is loose.. center your wheels.. loosen that bolt, straighten the steering wheel and retighten.. then get an alignment and install the clockspring.. make sure you know how to install the clockspring.. its gotta be set in the middle or it will break...
