steering wheel crooked
hey the steering wheel in my 94 del slo is crooked. I hit a rock a few months ago and bent my tie rod - since then I have replaced everything that was damaged but now my wheel is crooked. When going straight, my wheel is cocked to around 10 o'clock instead of being straight up and down.
I could jack the car up and adjust the tie rods so the wheel is straight I guess, but that would destroy my alignment and is a lot of work.
is there any way I could just unbolt the wheel and turn it a little and bolt it back on?
thanks

Re: steering wheel crooked
entirely possible my alignment is fcuked. when I installed new tie rods/ends/balljoints I did a basic alignment by pulling strings from the back tires to the fronts and checking the gaps between string and tire. it was ghetto, but it worked. I do need to get an alignment..
so it's not a simple bolt that holds on the steering wheel? on my 88 civic there was one bolt holding the wheel on, and you could simply undo it and put the wheel back to center/rebolt it. I have an airbag in the wheel so it's probably not that simple...
thanks

Re: steering wheel crooked
Just get it professionally aligned, and if its still crooked THEN adjust the steering wheel itself.
Its easy. There is still only one nut holding it on. You just need to remove the air bag first. There are torx head bolts on both sides to remove it. Cake.
