Default Steering trouble with my EG...

I drive a 94 cx hatch. stock cx engine, no p/s. Problem: I was driving to work tonight(freeway), while taking a right up an interchange the steering wheel got stuck at about half turn. It felt like something was pushing the wheel to the left while i was turning right. Since im at work i cant check it until morning time but i didnt feel any tire rub or anything loose with the steering wheel itself. Anyone know whats up with this? I drive this route everynight and this has never happened before. Thanks for the help.

Any lowering or any rims or stuff modified to the steering area?

while driving in a straight road..does the car tend to drift to the left or to the right on its own?

It used to when i first got it, all i did was put some air in one of the tires and that went away. never got it aligned though, if thats what your asking

This could be your problem..your car is lowered and Im betting you dont have a camber kit or ever got it aligned...so it would be natural for your car to do what it did...especially if the ground is uneven....

No i dont have a camber kit. The weird things is i have been driving the car for about 5 months. I drive the same way to work everyday, and just today this happened. Could a bolt have gotten loose somehow?

yea since your car is lowered with now camber kit it will definately put wear on your tires and maybe it caught up to u and the tread is uneven and it throwing the steering off. Maybe your aligment is off also .

my car dose that sometimes when i first got it. once in awhile making a right hand turn my wheel would suddenly lock and i was not able to turn it any more. but i was able to turn the other way.
then one day it compleatly locked up(i was parked) and no matter how hard i turned it wouldnt budge so i kept messing with it turning the other way, moving the wheel back and fourth and all the sudden a screw fell out of the steering collum never happen ever again

Well after i got home, lifted up the car and nothing was loose. Car hasnt dont it again yet so i think it was just due to uneven road. Someone mentioned that a few posts up. Thanks for all the help
