steering rack.. actual answers?
well i searched this site and got no real answers so i will post this up and hopefully one of you guru's out there will help out..
here's a little background on my situation...
i took my ek out for my first nasa event and towards the end of the day my car felt real darty on the straight's (i did spin once)
and then driving it home it felt real sketchy..
like there play in the wheel and it just darts form side to side..
in the corners it feel's fine but anything over 80 and it feel's awfull..
i checked the car out and there was a bad tie-rod end and wheel bearing.. so now both of those problem's have been taken care of..
but for the most part the problem remains. the car was aligned again as well..
so my questions are:
1. How do i check/diagnose to see if the problem is the steering rack itself?
2. How hard would it be to replace the rack myself if in fact it is bad?
3. If the rack has gone "bad" should i replace it with another stock rack? Or would i actually benifit from getting a ITR rack or something similar?
thank's for any input!
