Steering Question

I recently put in a new front-drivers side motor mount, and also put in a new ac drive belt. I loosened the tensioner on the power steering belt to put on the AC belt, and tightened everyhitng back. Here is my question: Can the tightness of the PS belt affect how loose the play is in the wheel while driving, or is that related more to shocks, bearings, cv joints etc.?

shouldnt. all it does is provide hydraulic pressure, but if it were too loose and you had no power assist, you may feel the sloppiness a little more but at that point you should hear the belt screaming.

It definately does feel a little more "sloppy" for lack of a better word, but you describe the screaming sound, which I can hear while accelerating. Almost sounds like a supercharder winding to me . http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif
