Steering Problems in EK, need help ASAP
Ok, so my friend just picked up an EK hatch with a y8 in it. The guy he got it from told him it needed a new rack & pinion because the steering was sloppy as hell. Lastnight, he was messing around with the steering column, and now the steering wheel just spins freely.
What could be the problem??
Also, the steering got worse as he was driving it lastnight (before he messed with the column) like he was on a 2-lane rd that was curving right, and the car kept going left.
Any ideas H-T??

From the steering wheel, follow it down to where the pedals are. Either the joint that connects the steering shaft to the rack is loose, or the rack has stripped teeth. You'll see what im talking about once you get down there...
