Re: (DudesHatch)

well you should start off with an alignment. getting into a wreck isnt going to change your ratio so youre either not explaining the issue right or confused on terminology but in any event if you hit something before all this started, get an alignment and go from there.

A small hint/tip:
Jack up the side of the car that got hit and take the wheel off, once it is removed rock the rotor top to bottom, it it feels loose get a new wheelbearing.

not an argument, but can't the steering ratio change, like for example loose bolts, bushing, boot, tie rod or not to mention be recked and an alignment is done but steerin wheel still loose the steering is off. thanks people!

Re: (DudesHatch)

the ratio is determined by the steering rack/gearbox itself. its the ammount of times you have to turn the steering wheel for how much degrees of the wheel turning. no matter if you have a bent controll arm, loose bolts, bent rim, whatever, unless the rack is physically damaged in some wacky way, the ratio will stay the same.
