Default Steering noise?

Ok so sorry if i am posting in the wrong section, but i dont know where else to put it, so i did it to the closest thing ha.

So i recently fixed my exhaust on my eg, its really nice now ha, but anyways, everytime i turn the wheel, it makes a noise, really loud, like something is rubbing, it comes from i guess the center of my car? (if that makes sense) more like in my hood kinda, but it makes a rubbing noice like u would rub if u hit a bump. it doesnt do it when i wash the car, well it didnt when i washed it, but i havent tried since, maybe its frozen since its negative degree weather? if anyone can diagnose, or give me an idea to what the problem is, please let me know, thanks!

Might be better in the EG forum, but not my call.

Was anything done to the car besides exhaust?

Stock or aftermarket rims?

Stock suspension or lowered?

Rubbing noise happens turning left or right; or left and right?

If everything is stock, I might guess CV joint.

If aftermarket, I would guess tire rub.

is your car really low? your tire can be hitting your splash shields.

is your exhaust mounted firmly? it could be loose rubbing against the heat shield?

i see. well it was 36 degree's out the other day, and i washed her, and it went away for a while. then it started again once it dropped below freezing, i think the cv boot is frozen and doesnt flex easily, but when its warm and stuff it stops
