Default Steering issue 2000 civic ex

Went to take a right turn the other night and something gave and the wheel started spinning freely to the right but did not turn the car. It makes a clicking noise when attempting to turn right. Will still turn left no issue. Power steering has been out on it for awhile. Was wondering if anyone could give me a place to start looking or any ideas as to what's broken. Thanks!

Tie rod still there on passenger side? Signs of fluid around the right side of the rack?

the tie rod is still there and to be honest everything is quite greasy down there so cannot tell if there is any sort of active leak

OP pressure wash the area, or your whole engine bay, so you can actually look for the leak. Put a piece of cardboard under the car when you park it. And grease around that area points to a bad axle, might want to check that out.
