Steering: Hard to turn steering wheel?
Got a 92 Civic 230K miles
Noticed the steering wheel is hard to turn on corners. Just basic turns. I can do it but its hard but i can turn the steering wheel.
Any idea what the problem could be? Tires are inflated and brakes feel fine.
Thank you!

Re: (jimmy o.)
Jimmy,
its a Civic LX Manual Transmission 92. I think it has power steering?
I noticed that its hard turning left and right around corners and to park the car. LIke its not giving me a lot of play to make a sharp turn.

Re: (SOHC_4dr)
ok, per Carfax I do have power steering (it has everything else power..windows, door locks. etc).
its a 92 LX Civic so I would it had PS.
If so, or if not, what do you think is the problem. I just started becoming hard to steer like this in the last 2 days. I don't remember having to wresting with steering before.

Re: (SOHC_4dr)
Hmm..
had the radiator replaced 3 days ago then this happened. Any chance that would have affected this?
Also, where the heck is the PS Fluid cap? I can check that but where and what am I looking for?
Thank you

he shouldnt have even touched the ps so lets leave that out. next to the pump there is a resevoir with a red cap. check to see if its full by looking on the side. do you have a squeaky belt? if so it could be sliping on the ps pump

to bleed the system just fill up the resivoir and allow the engine to idle for 1 min then shut it off and then start it again to ilde for 2 min. do NOT turn the wheels while bleeding. but first to a visual inspection of the rack and tie rods and look for anything wrong

MAKE SURE YOU PUT HONDA POWER STEERING FLUID IN THE RESERVOIR. IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL SERIOUSLY DO A NUMBER ON YOUR POWER STEERING SYSTEM.
sorry for the caps, but it's really important.
