We all know bout search. And of course, not much coverage on steering columns swapping and such.

I'm transferring everything from my 1993 Civic EX to a 1992 VX hatchie.

I was just wondering for those of you who have swapped out steering columns before. Out of all the things I have worked on cars before, this is one thing I'm a little vague about and not sure of what exactly to do.

Can those of you who have swapped out steering column's provide me with info on doing this process? It'd be much appreciated ;D

It is not as hard as it looks. The ignition can
not be changed without breaking the rivit. You
will have to have 2 diff. keys. There is 2 12mm
bolts that you will need a deep socket to get to.
Take off the cover that goes around the ignition.
Then take off the cover that goes over the steering
colum. Take off the steering wheel. (it will be easyer.)
Take out the 2 12mm nuts then take out the 2 1mm bolts
that hold the bracket with the white plastic peice. If you have
those 2 bolts and the 2 nuts off, now take the 10mm bolt out
from the steering nuckle. Unplug the turn signal and wiper switch.
Reverse steps for instal.
