STATE REF 00 civic si
hey guys, i was a stop light, made a left at the green light and a chp pulled me over for no front license plate. i have a generic intake with a K&N air filter so the chp officer gave me a state ref for the intake. this is my first time getting these kinds of tickets. what exactly do i have to do to get this cleared?
i thought law enforcement is supposed to protect the people, i dont see why theyre opposing normal non threatning driving civilians.

Bay Area cops are complete ******** who like to harass people and give tickets for no good reason. Luckily yours isn't too bad.
Two things you can do:
1. Buy or borrow a CARB legal intake by AEM, Comptech, etc. Take it to the ref, they'll check the CARB sticker, sign it off, and you're good.
2. Just slap a CARB sticker on your current intake and take it to the ref. However, finding an unused CARB sticker may prove to be a bit of a challenge...I have one sitting here on my desk, but it's worth more than its weight in gold, so it's not going anywhere

Do you not have your stock intake? If not just pick one up at the junk yard. Should be really cheap and nice to keep around for inspection time. Glad I don't have to put up with all that bs.

Ah, if you have the stock intake it's easy. Most people just get rid of 'em so I didn't even consider it. You don't have to resmog your car, you just need to have the ref approve of your intake (by using OEM or CARB legal parts).
