I have a 97 civic coupe and swapped out the tails from a 00' SI because they look o' so much better. anyway...using my existing bulbs i didn't even notice that now i have white turn signals which is illegal.

I checked around to all my Napa and such stores, car shops, etc...they cannot find the bulb i need in the orange color. Is it possible to get the whote bulb wiring assembly off a 00' SI and wire it into mine, then use the orange bulbs designed for that?

I'm not real worried about it..never gotten a ticket but sure do get pulled over a lot for it.

dude it should just be an 1157 or 1156 bulb in amber....autozone/pepboys carries TONS of those OE bulbs

if you cant get orange bulbs then just paint them orange

change those bulbs asap,,, there is nothing that is more annoying/distracting than being behind a car w/ white turn signals in the rear... they are much brighter than you think

i swear i looked everywhere for these bulbs...maybe the idiots were just only looking up for my year car or something, iuno.

ill go see if i can find 1157 or 1156's tomorrow and if they will fit.

i know they are bright from behind...i honestly didn't even relieze that they were that color until i got pulled over for it.

if your turn signals are anything like my 96-00 hatchback turn signals,..then you use a wedge style bulb,..i had a problem looking for these also,..you have to go into the APC section of autozone/pep boys,...you will find amber bulbs with the wedge style,...i have also heard that the dealer sells these also

Yeah i know how you feel cause everytime im in my friends car. He gets stopped for having whte turn signals. But they do look nice.

Wal Mart is your friend...I think 6G Civics use 7440...anyways, there are NA (natural amber) bulbs available. Check Wal Mart. They should be like $2.76/pair or less.

Uh, I leave my signals white for that very same reason. Bright = seeing my *** and not cutting me off when I'm switching lanes.

96 SOHC VTEC

I had the same problem. Although the taillights bolt right up from a 99-00 to a 96-98, the bulbs are NOT the same. I searched EVERYWHERE for those orange bulbs and I never came up lucky. I ended up making my own orange creation with some tape and orange looking craft paper. It has worked well ever since. You can also paint them like someone suggested.

I just bought some orange bulbs for my EG, they were part# 1156. The part# is on the bulb, so the only thing u need to do is take it out and get the part# off of it
